Surfside is Miami’s quaint beach town. With just below 6,000 residents, it’s a small community boasting a beautiful beachfront. Surfside was first incorporated in 1935 by 35 members of the Surf Club, a private club located within town limits. The community has preserved its vision of a small oceanfront community by staying focused on its inhabitants, the many local businesses, and tourism. Surfside Turtles
Come Visit The Tales Of the Surfside Turtles, A lovely and cheerful public Art Display initiative. Turtles made of Fiberglass, adorned with the head-turning art of local artists decorate the Surfside streets.
Surfside Conservatory
If you’re looking for an activity that’s suitable for the entire family, make a reservation to join Miami-Dades Parks “Turtle Rangers” at the Crandon Park Visitor and Nature Center and at Haulover Park. Learn all about the local sea- turtles and get an up close and personal view of hatchlings while donating to Miami-Dade County’s Sea Turtle Fund! Town Of Surfside Community Center
The New Community center offers a variety of special events and activities for every age. From Toddler to Senior Programs, and the ages in between, there’s sure to be an activity that you’ll enjoy! The Center boasts amenities such as a recreational pool, a plunge pool complete with a slide, an activity pool for the kids, as well as a jacuzzi. Additionally, The Center Conveniently has an on-site space that’s perfect for party rentals, and a few multipurpose rooms that can be used to host activities, or guests of any age.
Guests visiting Surfside Hotels are welcome to use The Town Of Surfside’s Community Center free of charge. A range of classes is also available to guests visiting the oceanfront town, at the local resident rate. Paddletopia
Surfside’s May Paddleboard Festival is back for another Season! Come and bring the whole family to this exciting event that’ll be taking place May 18 & 19, 2019 from 10am-2pm at the 96th Street Park. Admission is FREE and open to the public and Complimentary paddle boards and kayaks will be provided by Miami Beach Paddleboard, but space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot today.
Yoga and fitness classes for all ages will be taking place, as well as a book-swap, giveaways, an eco-fashion showcase and much more! Don’t miss it!

Museum of Contemporary Art
This museum celebrates the history of contemporary art of many cultures. Current exhibits feature the art of Haiti and the Africobra Collection, a black-centered art developed in Chicago in the 1970s. The museum provides Sunday stories for families and Minimaker days that allow children and adults to work on art projects together. This museum features many native and minority artists.
Arch Creek Historic and Archaeological Park
This Park is built around an ancient trail used by the Tequesta Indians. The park centers around a natural limestone bridge and has lots of hiking areas. Arch Park contains middens built by the Tequestas possibly over 2,000 years ago. The Seminoles also lived in this area and the park contains an Indian burial ground. It has a coontie mill, which is a local plant the Indians used for flour. The park has a museum that is devoted to the Tequestas and the Seminole Indians.
